If you want a full-use induction cooktop yet something smaller than full-sized, True Induction has a line of products that might fit your needs. They're not our favorite option because of limited usability, but u there aren't a lot of other options for double induction cooktops unless you are willing to spend thousands more.
Here take a detailed look at True Induction's lineup to help you decide if True Induction is the brand for you.

In addition to these models, the True Induction website also has a 3200W commercial single burner model, a vertical double model, a 3 burner model, and a 4-burner model, but they are listed as discontinued on every website we checked. About True Induction
True Induction is a maker of high-quality induction burners best known for their 2 burner induction cooktops that plug into a standard, 120V wall outlet. They also make a 3-burner cooktop that can be plugged into a standard outlet or wired into a 240V hookup, a 4-burner cooktop, and several models of single induction burners. Several of these are out of stock or listed as discontinued, so we only reviewed the ones that were available for sale. You can go to the True Induction site for more information.
For a small space, these cooktops can be a good choice. With the standard plug-in, they're easy to install, even if meant for permanent installation. The cooktops are intuitive and easy to use, and easy to clean as well.
True Induction 2 burner induction cooktops are also a good choice if you just want to downsize your kitchen. They run on 1800 watts of power, so they use about half as much energy as standard-sized cooktops.

True Induction is also the cooktop of choice for the Winnebago RV manufacturers, who use the TI-2B counter inset model in their motor homes.
True Induction cooktops also have some limitations that you should be aware of. They have a fairly small number of power and temperature settings, much like inexpensive (under $100) induction burners. This means you'll have limited control, especially at the low end, where control is most important. However, even with the limited settings, True Induction cooktops have better low temperature control than less expensive induction burners. You may not like the wide temperature and power jumps, but you will be able to get a decent simmer.
Before You Buy
What Is Induction?
Induction burners work on a completely different technology than conventional electric cooktops. Induction burners are electromagnets: they are made with a coil of copper wire that creates a magnetic field when alternating current is passed through it.
The amazing thing about this is that the pot, not the stove, does the cooking. If you remove the pot, the magnetic flow--and thus the heat--stops instantaneously.
The overall result of this is cooler, safer, and more efficient cooking.
Induction cooking is faster, more responsive, and more precise than gas cooking. And because induction burners don't get overly hot, cooking with induction is also safer and cleaner. Additionally, True Induction cooktops run on 120V power, so they use less energy than a standard, 240V built-in induction cooktop.
Is Induction Cooking Safe?
If you have a pacemaker, you should get an okay from your doctor before buying an induction cooktop. This is not because induction heating is inherently dangerous, but because the magnet used in induction cooktops can interfere with the operation of certain types of pacemakers.

Using Induction Cookware
Because induction operates by magnetism, you need to have magnetic (ferrous) cookware in order to use your induction cooktop. Cast iron, carbon steel, and clad stainless steel cookware with a ferrous exterior will all work; stainless cookware is the least likely to scratch your cooktop.
Because induction heats so fast, having pans that distribute heat evenly is important. Tri-ply stainless heats faster and more evenly than cast iron, so we recommend it as the ideal induction cookware.

Power Usage on Multi-Burner Models ("Power Sharing")
All 1800 watt double induction cooktops have to share power. Different makers distribute this power differently (see our Double Induction Cooktop Reviews for more information). Some have one 1200 watt burner and one 600 watt burner, for example, so both burners can operate at max power (although max power is 600W on the smaller burner).
True Induction uses what they call advanced power invariance technology. This is just a fancy term that means both burners are able to pull a full 1800 watts when the other burner isn't on. And, that when you're using both burners, the unit automatically adjusts the max amount available to each burner based on the settings you've selected.

The maximum power of an individual burner level is at setting 10. But, when operating both burners their combined total is level 10, meaning that when operating the two burners at the same time they’ll self adjust levels accordingly. When you increase the power of one side, the power output of the other side will reduce automatically (i.e., one side is at 6, the other burner automatically reduces power to level 4 creating a total of max 10 setting).
This may seem like a drawback, but we think it's better to have two burners capable of operating at full power than one burner that will only go to, say, 600W. Some people prefer a larger and smaller burner, though, as that's what you get on a full-sized range. True Induction TI-1B Single Burner Inset Cooktop Review

Best for: Small space install or extra burner in any kitchen.
This is a pretty standard induction cooktop. With 10 power settings and 11 temp settings, it's about the equivalent of much less expensive cooktops. The Duxtop 9600LS, which goes for less than this one, has 20 temp and power settings, so it offers more granular control.
The one thing this induction cooktop has is the ability to install it in your counter, so if you're looking for a single-burner unit to install, this is one of the few available. It gets mostly positive reviews on Amazon, with a few complaints about the lack of ability to simmer and some quality issues. Recommendation
The True Induction TI-1B single induction cooktop has average power and temp settings that can make it not great to use at low temperatures. But if you want to install a single-burner induction cooktop, this is one of the few options around. The product is durable and well made and gets mostly positive reviews from users, but we prefer the Duxtop 9600LS for its 20 power and temp settings for about the same price (probably less).

Recommendation
The True Induction TI-SSC Commercial Induction Cooktop has a steel housing for durability, but its 9 power and 11 temp settings make it about the same as less expensive portable induction cooktops. We recommend the Duxtop Commercial Induction Cooktop, also with a steel housing, with 20 power and temp settings and a low power setting of 100W (for better simmering!) for about $100 less.

True Induction TI-2C Portable Double Burner Induction Cooktop Review

Best for: Small spaces and non-permanent areas where more than one burner is preferred (camping, parties, etc). You can also use it as a countertop induction burner.
The True Induction TI-2C Portable Induction Burner is one of True Induction's most popular products, used in homes and RVs as well as many other areas. The controls are great and it's easy to use. However, it has some drawbacks, such as the power sharing, which causes power on one burner to go down when you turn up the power on the other one; something unavoidable when the max power is just 1800 watts. (Note: If you want a more powerful double induction burner, you need to go with a higher wattage one, but you will need a 240V hookup as you would need for a standard-sized stove or cooktop).
The 10 power settings and 11 temp settings are really standard, and don't allow a lot of granulation of control. These are the number of settings you'd see on much less expensive induction burners. But the cooktop does offer decent low temperature control, even with a lowest power setting of 200W (100W is preferable).
Unfortunately there aren't a lot of other choices for double induction at this price point; to upgrade, you'd have to go with a 24-inch Bosch or Miele cooktop (which, if this is for a primary-use cooktop in an RV, tiny house, or other permanent application, we recommend you consider).

Recommendation
The True Induction TI-2C Portable Induction Cooktop is a nice looking, durable induction cooktop, but with only 10 power settings and 11 temp settings and a low power level of 200W, it lacks granularity that can make it frustrating to use at low temps. It's not terrible, but if you're looking for a permanent or daily-use cooktop, we recommend upgrading to a 24-inch Bosch or Miele cooktop; yes, they're 10 times as expensive, but they'll be better to cook on.
On the other hand, if you're looking for a decent travel induction cooktop for occasional use (camping), this will fit the bill. The included carrying case adds to the cost, but it's really handy if you're doing a lot of traveling with this unit.

The True Induction TI-2B Inset Induction Burner is one of True Induction's most popular products, used in tiny homes and RVs as a permanent cooktop. Like all True Induction products, the controls are great and it's easy to use. Winnebago uses this cooktop in all of their RVs.
However, it has the same drawbacks as other True Induction products: limited power and temp settings. The 10 power settings and 11 temp settings are really standard, and don't allow much granulation of control. The lowest power setting of 200W may make it hard to simmer.
However, even with the limited settings, the TI-2B has surprisingly decent simmering capabilities: probably good enough for anyone but the most discerning cooks.
The power sharing causes power on one burner to go down when you turn up the power on the other one; something unavoidable when the max power is just 1800 watts. 1800 watts will never equal the power of a full-sized cooktop, but it's probably enough for most people; even at low settings induction burners get pretty hot, so you will probably only need to use full power for boiling water.
If you want a more powerful double induction burner, you need to go with a higher wattage one, but you will need a 240V hookup as you would need for a standard-sized stove or cooktop.
If you want an installable cooktop for a reasonable price that uses a standard wall outlet, you'll be hard pressed to find a better option than the True Induction TI-2B.

Recommendation
The True Induction TI-2B Inset Double Induction Cooktop looks great installed and is reasonably priced compared to other installable double induction cooktops. However, it has limited capability with just 10 power settings and 11 temperature settings. The big concern with the wide jumps is at low temperature cooking, but the TI-2B works surprisingly well at simmer temps. It won't be as good as more expensive cooktops, but it will be good enough for most cooks.
If it's for travel or otherwise occasional use, it's a great, inexpensive option. However, if it's for daily use in an RV, tiny house, or other daily-use application, or if you're a serious cook, you might want to consider upgrading to a 24-inch Bosch or Miele cooktop.

True Induction MD-2B Mini Duo Double Induction Cooktop Review

Best For: Cookware with bottom diameter 4-8 inches
The True Induction MD-2B Mini-Duo is a smaller version of the TI-2B counter inset double induction cooktop. The burners are smaller and can best accommodate pans with a bottom diameter from 4 to 8 inches. The Mini-Duo 2-burner induction cooktop is designed for small spaces where you want a permanent cooktop installation such as RVs, tiny houses, cabins, and efficiency apartments. Yet, because it plugs into a standard 120V outlet, you can also use it as a portable 2-burner cooktop.
This unit has the same limitations as the other True Induction cooktops: limited power and temp settings that don't allow for much granularity of control. 10 power settings and 11 temp settings are standard for inexpensive (less than $100) induction burners.
However, the cooktop has a low power setting of 100W and works pretty well at low temperatures. If you need a small double cooktop for a tiny space, the Mini Duo is a good choice.

Recommendation
The Mini Duo is small and can be used as a portable unit or inset into a counter. It has a low power setting of 100W, which makes it better for low temperature simmering than the other models. But it's best used with pans 4-8" in diameter (bottom, of course), and space can be tight--so only get it if you don't have room for a larger cooktop.

Final Thoughts
True Induction has a good reputation and makes high quality induction cooktops. They're more expensive than some other brands with similar controls, but they have a better build quality and have surprisingly good low temperature control for cooktops with just 10 power and temperature settings. They get good reviews on Amazon and elsewhere.
If you're looking for a small cooktop for permanent installation, or a portable double cooktop that's easy to move around, True Induction is a good option.
